The US puts price on Hafiz Muhammad Saeed who was ranked as second on the most wanted list.
  • The US offers $10 million reward for Saeed because of his relation to the Mumbai attacks. one of these attacks was a bombing on Mumbai cummuter trains on July 11, 2006. more than 180 killed and 800 injured. Another related one happened two years later in November when 10 LET gunmen carried out a coordinated attack against several locations frequented by western tourists in Mumbai. More than 170 were killed and about 300 injured.
  • They have added more security around Hafiz Saeed since the reward for his head and Saeed openly taunted the US saying it is "regrettable that America has no information about (him). such rewards are usually for those who live in caves and mountains."

Hafiz Saeed is the leader of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JUD) and founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET)
  • Lashkar-e-Taiba (army of the good) is a terrorist organization that morphed from the terrorist group Jamaat-ud-dawa and was given two main objectives: to spread Islam and destroy the indian republic. It runs 16 islamic institutions, 135 secondary schools, an ambulance service, mobile clinics, blood banks, and seminaries in Afghanistan. Both the Lashkar-e-Taiba and the Jamaf-ud-Dawa are being blacklisted by the U.S. This means that they are restricted from certain areas and are marked as untrustworthy.
